Burgon & Ball supports half term events at RHS Gardens
Burgon & Ball, creator of beautiful premium gardening tools and accessories since 1730, recently worked in collaboration with the RHS to deliver the RHS Family Gardening Festival.
Falling during the half term holiday, and also coinciding with National Children’s Gardening Week, the event saw a host of fantastic activities taking place in all five RHS gardens.
Gardeners of all ages participated in interactive planting activities, creative crafts, inspirational storytelling, shows and fun garden trails to explore.
Burgon & Ball supplied all the gardens with a wide range of items from the new Growing Gardeners family gardening range. The 17-piece RHS-endorsed collection is new for this season and has been created to make gardening with children easy and fun.
In an innovative step, the range of tools and accessories is backed by an online resource with family-friendly ideas, projects and inspiration from the trusted experts at the RHS. The concept builds on the love for gardening together that families discovered during lockdown. It’s ideal for families who want to enjoy gardening together but aren’t sure where to start.
The range proved very popular with the young gardeners and their families during the week of events, with the stand-out favourite being the ‘Make your own Seedling Paper Pots’ pot maker. This was used in planting sessions where young gardeners made their own paper pots and planted sunflower or tomato seeds to take home and watch grow.
Rainer Schubert, managing director at Burgon & Ball, says: “We’ve been delighted with the success of the events at the RHS gardens. Our new Growing Gardeners collection is all about getting families gardening together, and it’s been fantastic to see it being used and enjoyed by the next generation of gardeners.”
