A summer most Glee-ful - new ranges boost sales for Woodlodge

Company: Woodlodge Products

Woodlodge, the UK’s leading supplier of garden pots, gardenware and outdoor living products, is celebrating a successful summer following Glee’s move to June. The company showcased new products for 2023 at the recent garden and outdoor living trade show which were well received by buyers and based upon current and future market trends.

The Tetbury-based company is also celebrating after scooping a Glee New Product Award for its latest launch – the EcoMade Ocean Plastic Planter, following intense pitches by General Manager, Andrew Mellowes.

EcoMade is a new sustainable brand from Woodlodge that is aimed at shoppers who are now choosing to buy from brands that they firmly believe are doing social or environmental good.  Made from recycled materials and renewable resources to appeal to eco-conscious consumers, EcoMade brings innovative planter designs made from at least 89% ocean reclaimed material, recycled wood products and landfill waste.  The collection of recycled pot toppers, made from recycled TV screens, seashells and rubber tyre chippings was also well received.

With colour making a big difference in the way consumers feel about their homes and gardens, the new outdoor planter partnership with Pantone, brought together by Licensing Link, will open doors to a new gardening audience who are passionate about design with beautiful and contemporary trend-led collections.  Instantly recognisable with the embossed Pantone logo and with a wide consumer appeal, the planter collection is influenced by fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design.

With the interiors world seeing the return of bold colours, a trend forecast by many of the top home and style magazines, the Modern British Florals collection will boost retailers’ offerings for 2023.  This new collection takes Woodlodge’s high-quality glazed planters and updates them with fresh botanical designs, inspired by the country’s gardens.

Woodlodge is also ready to drive container category growth with additions to its existing planter ranges – Heritage Garden, Blossom, William Morris, Bee Kind and Chelsea Terrace.  New designs have been added to all collections, each with unique finishes that elevate the category’s sales appeal.  Launch highlights for Glee 2022 include bee and butterfly designs to encourage consumers to play a role in attracting pollinators to gardens. Woodlodge also tapped into the trend for lightweight fibre clay by unveiling new colourways and motifs for William Morris, Chelsea Terrace and Heritage Garden, whilst Blossom’s latest line-up consists of stylish planters that will transform the look and give personalities to gardeners’ homes.

With all things flora and fauna being everyone’s favourite home accessory at the moment,  Root Indoor continues to inspire consumers to extend their passion for gardening into the home with both rustic and contemporary designs.  Whether you want to outfit your home with plants for practical benefits or simply for interior design, Root’s carefully curated portfolio will uplift any home’s décor. The renaissance of houseplants will only go from strength to strength in 2023, creating an ideal environment for retailers to increase the gifting potential of indoor planters to drive year-round sales.

Gardens are now multi-functional outdoor spaces where we enjoy time with our families and friends, dine al fresco, as well as relax and play.  The latest collection from Honey & Wild takes garden decor to a new level and is packed with more innovative products to help style and add personality to outdoor areas.  From terrariums to mirrored pot holders, and metal arbours to glazed characters, Honey & Wild’s Glee premieres will appeal to a wide demographic of shoppers.  For those that love wildlife, bug bricks and bird care will enable retailers can highlight the importance of nature and how to turn gardens into safe habitats.

Michael Wooldridge, Director of Woodlodge said: “After the huge success of Glee 2021 as the first in-person event in two years, we were delighted to welcome our customers to the new date in June. This has given us the perfect opportunity to use the show as the launchpad for a large number of our new products this year. From our largest ever stand that spanned over 1,000m², retailers were extremely receptive to our latest introductions, significant orders were taken and the Woodlodge promise of unrivalled product range, superb quality, and excellent customer service was reinforced.”

If you couldn’t make it to Glee, Woodlodge is still offering some unbelievable summer deals to drive consumer demand and footfall in-store.  The Woodlodge showroom in Tetbury will be opening from 1st August and will showcase all the new product launches.
