Toolbank has strengthened its senior management team with the creation of a new role of marketing development director. Simon Bicknell, currently sales director, is moving to fill the new position.
“It is vital that we have a dedicated marketing resource continuing our policy of providing the very best service and support initiatives for our customers and suppliers” said Toolbank CEO Wayne Flory. “Our marketing team are already creating excellent, industry-leading work but we are determined to identify any opportunities as to how we can improve our offering and Simon will be focussed on this in his new role.”
Toolbank has already started the recruitment process for a new Sales Director to take over from Mr Bicknell, who will continue to oversee Toolbank’s overall sales and marketing functions until the new appointment has been trained and inducted into the business.
“This is a really exciting time at Toolbank, and for me personally, as we already have many great plans in place for new initiatives,” said Mr Bicknell. “Having spent the last 20 years in sales, I very much hope to be able to use my experience to support our team as we deliver more services for our customers and suppliers.”
Toolbank is the UK’s and Ireland’s largest distributor of hand tools, power tools and hardware products to the retail and merchant markets, serving customers from 12 depots nationwide, and stocking 26,000 products from a total of 280 brands.
