Provender Nurseries are celebrating the success of our latest Apprentice Rosina Green for completing her Level 2 NVQ Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Rosina started at Provender Nurseries in February 2017 and has worked her way to being a valuable member of the business working in the admin team.

Rosina says ‘completing my Level 2 NVQ Business Administration Apprenticeship has been a whirlwind of an experience that I would not have been able to do without the help of Provender Nurseries’.

Fitting straight into the existing team from the start Rosina has taken on all and any new tasks with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.  Initially starting as support for the Admin team Rosina now is involved in many other parts of the business including; managing the customer database, processing new trade card applications, creating and processing purchase orders, running and co-ordinating replies for events, support for the quoted sales team in processing plant allocations and working with the goods in team and transport department too.  Rosina is now involved in training the newest member of the admin team.

Rosina also spends time each week compiling a report of notifiable items for DEFRA and inputting the data on to the DEFRA website. This complies with bio-security regulations.

David Topping, Rosina’s manager says ‘Rosina has been an important part of the team for a long time now. I am very pleased to see her receive the certificate she has worked so hard for over the last two years. The apprentice scheme has given Rosina good insight into her job role within the business. The scope of the coursework has also been relevant to us as a business and given us more ideas and ways of approaching processes and good practice. I expect that her Level 3 NVQ Business Administration Apprenticeship work will be just as beneficial and look forward to working with her to complete it.’
