Notcutts celebrates staff ‘heroes’
Notcutts, the family-owned garden centre business, has hosted an annual conference and awards dinner to recognise team and business achievements as it celebrates its 120th anniversary.
The conference, which was held on Wednesday March 22nd in Marlow, featured interactive learning sessions and focused on the vision of the company as it progresses with its exciting five-year development plan. The event was sponsored by leading names in the industry including Esprit, Hozelock, Bidvest, Briers, Mr Fothergills, Kettler, Gardman, Stanley Bragg, Scotts, Paddy & Scott’s, LeisureGrow, MJ Media and Talk Talk.
After the conference, an awards dinner took place with categories including ‘Best Garden Centre Performance’, ‘Best Visual Merchandising’ and ‘Best Restaurant Performance’. ‘Frontline Hero’ awards were also awarded to one outstanding team member from each of Notcutts’ 18 centres. Frontline Heroes are those people who, in the eyes of their closest colleagues, consistently go the extra mile to help both customers and colleagues alike.
Nick Burrows, Chief Executive, at Notcutts said: “This event was an opportunity to celebrate success and thank all of our teams for their hard work and dedication. We’d also like to say express our gratitude to all of our wonderful sponsors, as without their support this event would not have been possible.”
Notcutts is currently investing into its future by implementing a five-year investment plan to update and reposition its garden centres within their respective markets.
