Mark Pitman joins Waitrose

Mark Pitman, Retail Operations Manager at Hillier Garden Centres since 2008, has joined Waitrose at the beginning of this month.  His new role is Nursery and Landscaping Manager, Longstock Nursery at Waitrose

Longstock Park Nursery, part of the Leckford Estate owned and managed by Waitrose, lies within Hampshire's picturesque Test Valley.

The nursery is set in and around a brick and flint walled garden, and is home to National Collections of Buddleja and Clematis viticella and the Gilchrist Collection of Penstemon. It aims to supply a wide range of good quality, often unusual, hardy plants.

Adjoining the nursery is a 70 acre arboretum which leads to a world famous water garden, a beautiful seven acre woodland garden with lakes and interconnecting islands.
