GIMA names Vicky Nuttall as successor to Neil Gow
Vicky Nuttall is set to become the next director of GIMA when Neil Gow steps down in February. She is currently president of the trade association, which represents manufacturers and suppliers within the garden industry.
For nearly 13 years, Vicky Nuttall has worked for the Forest Garden Group. In her current role she is head of marketing as group marketing manager.
GIMA’s vice president Steve Millington of Bosmere Products says it will be business as usual. In time the association hopes to use Vicky’s expertise to attract new members and develop services to members.
Nuttall will continue in her role as GIMA president until the AGM in early 2014. Her move is a repeat of what happened at the HTA last year when the president, Carol Paris, then working for Garden & Leisure was recruited as director general.
Vicky Nuttall commented “I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity to run GIMA on behalf of its members, and look forward to the challenges ahead. Neil has done some fantastic work over the last 7 years. I hope I can bring as much enthusiasm into the role as he has done.’
