BALI increases technical support for members
As a direct result of members’ feedback, BALI has recently established the new role of Technical Officer, based at the Association’s Landscape House headquarters in Warwickshire. Jonathan Tame BSc (Hons), who started his BALI role at the end of June, is now providing members with technical advice and support ‘on demand’.
Jonathan has a breadth of experience in the landscape sector, including as Landscape Manager on the Transport for London highways contract where he was responsible for the landscape maintenance of London’s busy arterial road network. He has also worked on many local authority, commercial and domestic landscape, and civil engineering contracts throughout the Midlands and the North of England.
In addition to providing technical advice, Jonathan will ensure that BALI members are kept informed of industry-related government policy and initiatives and relevant changes to legislation. He will represent BALI on industry working groups and actively promote and encourage cross-industry collaboration where this benefits BALI’s wider membership. His other responsibilities will include providing technical articles on landscaping and grounds maintenance subjects for industry journals.
Jonathan can be contacted by email at jonathan.tame@bali.org.uk, or telephone 024 7669 8653, mobile 07896 744568.
