BALI Chief Executive Sandra Loton-Jones quits her post
Landscape Juice has revealed that the Chief Executive of the British Association of Landscape Industries, Sandra Loton-Jones (LJ), is to leave her post at the end of January.
The news was revealed to BALI members via email this afternoon.
In the email, Chairman Richard Gardiner said that it was with regret that he announces Loton-Jones' decision to step down: Loton-Jones has held the post for five years.
Gardiner says LJ's role at BALI had been particularly demanding, and had required her to travel widely across the UK and further afield, to represent members' interests.
In her resignation letter, LJ said that she felt the association was 'moving into a new stage of development' and given the factors mentioned above, it is the 'opportune' time to pass the job on to someone else.
An announcement will be made in next week's Horticulture Week before a search for LJ's successor begins.
