Webbs Garden Centres donates 16,000 toys to ‘Mission Christmas’

Company: Webbs

Webbs Garden Centres have donated 16,000 toys to ‘Mission Christmas’ – a festive appeal run by the charity ‘Cash for Kids.’ The mission is to make sure every child has a present to open on Christmas morning.

Sadly, for many young people from families living in poverty, they’re at risk of waking up to nothing.

Gifts around Worcestershire and the West Midlands

The gifts donated by Webbs will be distributed to the local community in and around Worcestershire, as well to children across the Midlands. The toys will even be winging their way to children as far away as South Yorkshire.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity whose aim is to improve the lives of children and young people in the community who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

John Stratton from Cash for Kids commented ‘In the current climate, it has been particularly difficult to secure enough toys to ensure that all the families we support don’t go empty-handed this Christmas. We were therefore delighted when Webbs Garden Centres came forward with this very generous offer.’

Ed Webb founder of Webbs said ‘We are only too glad to be able to help ensure that some of the more disadvantaged children in our communities receive a gift on Christmas Day and we hope it goes a small way to improving their festive season.’
