- Rouchette brand to be unveiled to UK trade for the first time at Glee show next week
- Deal will see garden, agricultural and hunting footwear added to Astbury Collections existing ranges
- Astbury Collections will sell Rouchette boots via its Simply Hike and Evercreatures brands
- Rouchette’s boots will be available to retailers via wholesale
Rouchette, which was founded in 1990, produces a range of outdoor footwear for adults and children including boots for gardening, farming, hunting and general wear.
Lincolnshire-based Astbury Collections will introduce the Rouchette range to the UK gardening and outdoor living trade at Glee, which is at Birmingham’s NEC from September 14-16.
The distribution deal will see all of Rouchette’s boots – including its newly launched Goji and Fougere styles – available on a wholesale basis in the UK for the first time. The full range will also feature on both the Simply Hike and Evercreatures platforms, opening up new markets for both brands.
Tony Bailey, director of operations at Astbury Collections, said: “This is an excellent deal and we are looking forward to bringing the Rouchette brand and products to the UK.
“Rouchette is a perfect fit, particularly for Evercreatures which is renowned for its funky boots. Stocking Rouchette’s boots means we can expand the range to include agricultural and hunting footwear, while we can also offer a men’s range for the first time.
“Adding this range, as well as being the exclusive distribution partner across the UK, will enable us to reach more of the market and compete with more of the established brands. It’s a great opportunity for multi-site retailers to stock a brand that gives back, with a select few national retailers already on board for the winter.
“I have known Sebastien Rouchette, the CEO, for some time and I am looking forward to us working together to establish the brand in the UK and bringing these high-quality products to the consumer.”
The deal cements a long-standing relationship between Astbury Collections and Rouchette, who have previously worked together on footwear innovation for wellington boots.
This move will also assist with stock levels with 40 per cent of Rouchette’s products manufactured in Europe.
