RHS Chelsea Flower Show sponsored by The Newt in Somerset

Date: 20th - 24th May 2025
Location: Royal Hospital Chelsea, London, SW3 4SR

RHS Chelsea Flower Show is filled with amazing garden designs, gorgeous floral displays and exclusive shopping.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and our other great summer shows, represent the pinnacle of horticultural excellence, and there’s something for everyone no matter what kind of gardener you are.

Garden design excellence
Show Gardens curl round Main Avenue and Royal Hospital Way. A stroll along this route will take you past some of the finest examples of garden design at the world’s most prestigious flower show. As well as inspired plant combinations and cutting-edge landscaping, these Gardens serve as a barometer of current gardening trends and key issues facing horticulture.

Balcony and Container Gardens explore what is possible in a smaller space. Urban gardens can be so much more than a place to store a bike. Top designers take on the challenges that town and city gardeners face, from flood management, pollution and noise to clever ways to make the most of the small space. These Gardens are practical as well as inspirational, with design principles that can be lifted and transplanted to nearly any garden space.

A gallery of floral art
From the moment visitors arrive they are welcomed to the Show by the spectacular floristy displays which adorn the gates. RHS Chelsea floral installations are world-famous for their show-stopping explosion of flowers, which push the boundaries of the art. The RHS Letters are the classic backdrop for selfies, but it is impossible not to try to capture all the creations which fill the showground, with a beautiful scent almost as breath-taking as they look.

On the way to the Show, don’t forget to take a stroll round Chelsea to take in the wonderous joy of Chelsea in Bloom. Pokemon Go for floristy fans!

Floral Art of the highest standard is showcased in the Great Pavilion where the floristry competitions are held. This year sees two categories: Creative Spaces which, with no rules or themes, gives florists free rein to express themselves. Though not judged, these works are eligible for the Floristry Ambassador’s Choice. Floral Creations category sees smaller arrangements on a plinth. As well as RHS medals, these florists are also vying for the coveted title of RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year.

Often an unsung hero, the Showground Planting, is overseen by a talented designer who created the beds and borders around the showground, making sure that every vista is flowing with beautiful combinations.

The Great Pavilion
RHS Chelsea draws the best growers and nurseries from around the world to exhibit in the most prestigious tent in horticulture. This is where you will find and unrivalled collection of plant experts, all eager to share their knowledge and advice on the plants they grow. As most of the plants on display aren’t available to buy – until the sell off from 4pm on Sunday – at RHS Chelsea it’s all about the exhibits and growers create wildly creative displays to claim an RHS Medal or a special RHS Award. Last year saw a bath filled with ferns, veg in portraiture and dinosaurs stalking Sarracenias – who knows what the growers will do to delight us in 2025.

The vast Great Pavilion also houses Floristry and Floral Art.

All About Plants Gardens showcase designs which focus on the planting.

GreenSTEM – formally Discovery – highlights horticultural science and technological innovations.

Plant of the Year displays exceptional new plants to the market and asks eminent horticulturists to choose their favourite.

RHS Sustainable Garden Product of the Year competition is also announced in the Great Pavilion and champions companies creating greener choices for gardeners.
