Gardeners have told Kent & Stowe that they value fit, dexterity, and protection above all other attributes when it comes to using gardening gloves. Poorly fitting, baggy gloves that elevate fashion over function make them feel like they are gardening in boxing gloves.
For 2024, Kent & Stowe are bringing ‘Extraordinary’ to life for the gloves category. The new gloves are called SureFit, a reflection of the incredible fit and comfort that gardeners will enjoy from the three new gloves in the range. It’s a range that delivers ‘fit’ so perfectly, it makes all other gloves feel a tad clumsy.
In a significant departure for consumer horticultural gloves, the new gloves are all tested and approved to the EN 388 protection standard, giving gardeners guaranteed levels of protection against cuts, punctures, and abrasions.
Describing the new SureFit - Grip glove, Marie Williams Head of Category said “These gloves are something special, the fabric is woven from HPPE fibre, which has a tensile strength x15 stronger than steel but is so light it floats, and we’ve engineered them to give an incredible fit. Adding the nitrile coating results in unrivalled grip, dexterity, protection, and feel.”
A step up from the Grip gloves is the new SureFit – All Jobs style. These highly engineered and protective gloves have a reinforced leather palm and a soft breathable reverse. They are tough, hard-wearing, and built for working all day long in all weather.
Finally, featuring the softest, most durable leather available. The SureFit – Soft gloves bring unrivalled suppleness and protection to the most premium end of the range. The stamped Kent & Stowe branding is both subtle and enduring; these gloves are the very definition of ‘Extraordinary’. These new gloves are undoubtedly part of a Kent & Stowe tool and glove range, that is entirely focused on helping gardeners achieve extraordinary results in their garden.
The all-new gloves support the existing and comprehensive range of Kent & Stowe gloves, and all the gloves are supported by bespoke off-fixture merchandising solutions. The new and existing range will be available to view and experience at Glee in June.
The Kent & Stowe SureFit range starts at £7.99 for the Grip gloves, rising to £14.99 for All Jobs, and the leather Soft gloves are £24.99. The new range will be available from the 1st December 2023.
