Iconic no-dig horticulturist endorses groundbreaking new worm cast product
The pioneer of modern no-dig gardening, Charles Dowding, has become the affiliated partner of new worm cast growing medium company Urban Wyrm and will appear alongside them at Glee Birmingham on 10th September.
Urban Wyrm, founded by Ashley Day and Chris Holgreaves in partnership with Growmoor, is the only worm cast business of its kind. It produces a range of gardening products and composts from worm casts. Worms are mixed in with organic substrate, fed a nutrient-rich organic diet, then separated from the casts they produce to create a range of growing mediums and soil conditioners. The Urban Wyrm worm cast range is destined to become one of the most natural, versatile gardening ranges and due to the extensive trials and development done, there will be no surprise if the success of this brand is proven sooner than later.
In a rare move, Charles Dowding has endorsed Urban Wyrm and has become its affiliate partner, appearing with them at Glee Birmingham as a special guest on 10th September.
“Chris and I are extremely proud to be working alongside such a well-respected figure in the gardening world,” said Ashley.
“We’ve built our brand to support gardeners to garden sustainably, and having an endorsement from Charles shows that we’re committed to helping change the way people care for their gardens for the better. We’re excited for the year to come as we develop and release more of our unique product range.”
During Glee’s anniversary event, Urban Wyrm will be unveiling a brand new product - Black Gold Organic. Glee Birmingham visitors will be amongst the first to see this exciting new product which will turn heads in the gardening industry.
Produced in North Yorkshire, the Urban Wyrm range of composts, soil improvers, seedling mixes and liquid feeds are made up of pure worm casts and natural microbes. The Urban Wyrm range is free from artificial chemicals and toxins, making it an ideal choice for sustainable no-dig gardeners.
- Charles Dowding will appear alongside Urban Wyrm as a special guest between 10:30am and 4pm on Tuesday 10th September.
- Urban Wyrm is working in partnership with Growmoor Better Growing, a prominent player in the horticulture industry with roots in Northern Ireland dating back over 30 years.
