Who won the 2023 Gardenex Export Achievement Award?
2023 Gardenex Export Achievement Award was presented to Grow Sow Simple for its campaign alongside Winco Foods in the US, with VegTrug and Wildlife World enjoying finalist status.
Grow Sow Simple visited the US based NHS trade show and met with brokers who had access to retailers. Working closely together they started to understand the retailers’ requirements, particularly Winco Foods. Winco selected 4 product ranges, which were reworked to ensure optimal volumes on pallet displays, which secured a deal worth $1 million. An additional 40 new staff were employed assisting with logistics, bond filling etc. The goods were shipped in 7 x 40ft containers and then reloaded into 5 trucks for nationwide distribution.
