Stax acquires Manor

The brand will be officially unveiled to Stax retailers at the company’s Big Brands Trade Days in Manchester on 16th and 17th September, giving customers their first opportunity to see the Manor brand under Stax ownership.

Stax has plans to invest in the brand and develop the range over the next 12 months, with the aim of strengthening its position in the market and creating a comprehensive product offer for independent retailers.

Simon Wright, Joint Managing Director at Stax Trade Centres, said: “The Manor Fireside brand is recognised by retailers, and the purchase of it has given us the opportunity to refocus our efforts on this category and plan for future development and growth.

“With the Manor name dating back to 1987, there is a very good heritage behind the brand and a strong foundation to build on. Our ambition is for Manor to become our main brand in the category, and over the next 12 months we’ll be focusing on developing the range and strengthening the proposition for our retail customers.”

The acquisition forms part of Stax’s wider approach to developing its own-brand portfolio and giving independent retailers access to strong, clearly positioned product ranges.
