South West Growers Show to be cancelled for 2021

After much consideration, we (Kernock Park Plants), organisers of the South West Growers Show, have made the difficult decision to cancel this years show (due to be on 6th October 2021). It is not a decision we have taken lightly and despite many surveyed exhibitors sharing their enthusiasm for attending our show, there is still uncertainty by some that the show can operate in such a way to remain completely safe, whilst delivering excellent value for all those exhibitors and visitors attending.

By the date of the show itself, we expect that lockdown easing is well underway and hope some form of normality is restored. The exact restrictions that may, or may not still be in place regarding indoor group gatherings, social distancing requirements and facemasks are however all unknown factors where some exhibitors and visitors still share concerns.

We did not wish to delay our final decision further, as there are many parties involved in the preparations for a successful show and we as an exhibitor ourselves know how much time and planning creating a visitor-luring stand takes. So, taking this decision now helps ensure we give everybody involved ample time to avoid wasted effort.

We are of course disappointed not to be able to meet our friends and colleagues face-to-face yet again at our local show (the only horticultural trade show of the South West), but as last year we will once again be running our online “SWGShowCase” for all exhibitors past and present to upload or amend their details for publication and promotion – free of charge.
