British Garden Centres is celebrating success after winning a 4 Flower Plant Village Award at its first-ever appearance at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. The exhibit marked a significant milestone for the UK’s largest family-owned garden centre group as it introduced the brand to a broader audience.

The award-winning stand featured a stunning mix of Earthenware planters and urns supplied by Woodlodge, arranged with natural pebbles, moss, and soft pastel planting. Visitors were drawn to the textures and colour provided by foxgloves, delphiniums, agapanthus, hydrangeas, and eucalyptus.

Founder Charles Stubbs designed and planted the display himself, returning to his roots in garden show design. With daughters Libby and Amy Stubbs welcoming visitors and running the stand, the display perfectly reflected the brand’s family values and passion for gardening.

Charles Stubbs said, “It felt great to get back to designing and planting the display. Winning this award is a wonderful recognition of everyone’s hard work and a brilliant way to introduce our brand to new gardeners.”

The display also showcased how to use containers creatively to build striking garden features, with plants available to buy on-site at exclusive show prices. Libby Stubbs, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, called the show a “fantastic platform” to connect with new customers.

British Garden Centres is now preparing for its next appearance at the RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse (July 16–20), hoping to build on the momentum from Hampton Court and further highlight its 73 stores nationwide.
