Open College Forum returns to GroundsFest

A delegation of course leaders and training providers from the land-based sector will convene again at the Open College Forum at GroundsFest this Autumn. Organised by the BALI Chalk Fund and supported by GoLandscape, the third annual college forum invites tutors, faculty and course leaders to join the Forum at the grounds and landscape event at Stoneleigh on Thursday 17 September 2026.
Who should attend?
Invitations have been sent to course leaders and tutors who are actively involved in the delivery of training and academic courses in landscape, horticulture, landscape design and grounds maintenance. Already confirmed and returning attendees include representatives from ARU Writtle, Warwickshire Pershore, Wiltshire Lackham, the London College of Garden Design and Orchard Learning.
There will also be a small representation of our “Champions” – those organisations actively supporting the Fund across growers, contractors and designers. We are grateful to Bronze Champion’s Fullbrook Nursery who will attend as our Official Event Sponsor.
What’s on the agenda?
Introduced by BALI Chalk Trustees’ Chair Nick Coslett, the open discussions will focus on Skills, Recruitment, Curriculum and Industry Collaboration, with participants encouraged to debate, share and engage with colleagues and counterparts from across the country.
