After the Launch Succes delegates discovered who their teammates were at The Hyve Group in Paddington a few weeks ago, it was time for the next stage of the YPHA Launch Success Challenge at Studley Garden Centre where more inspiring masterclasses took place.

This phase of the programme involved a focus on the teams finalising their design briefs and working on content creation which will play a huge role when pitching their strategies for the release of the new variety of Begonia to the panel in October.

Kindly hosted by British Garden Centres Studley Garden Centre, the green team and blue team were able to take part in separate masterclasses to allow open discussions about their design and content plans, ensuring that no details were let slip to the opposing team.

Everything considered when creating a brand

The green team started off their day with Jennie Kwan, Head of Creative at Hyve, who gave the team a thorough insight into everything considered when creating a brand.

With  years of experience under her belt, Jennie shared a captivating presentation followed by a discussion session. Here the team had the opportunity to ask industry professionals Jennie Kwan and Nick Mathias, Managing Director of Floramedia UK, any questions surrounding brand and label design which sparked up important discussion within the team.

Content creation with the new Begonia

After a lovely buffet lunch, the green team swapped facilities with the blue team where they received another thought-provoking session led by Eve Kerrigan, British Garden Centres Content Creator.

During this session Eve shared content ideas through providing examples of her past creations and knowledge surrounding specific terms and different media platforms. Feeling eager, the team had the chance to capture some footage around the garden centre with the new Begonia to hand.

The chance to solidify ideas as a team

LSC delegate Ella Miles said of the event, “The sessions at Studley Garden Centre gave the green team the chance to solidify and prioritise important decisions surrounding our brand design. Now with a clear idea of our branding and some major decisions made we came away from the day feeling excited for the next phase of the challenge.”
