YPHA strengthens leadership with new Ambassador

The Young People in Horticulture Association has appointed Farplants director David Salisbury as an Ambassador, strengthening its leadership as it prepares for long-term sustainability and its next phase of development.
The Young People in Horticulture Association (YPHA) has appointed David Salisbury, director at Farplants, as its newest Ambassador as the organisation prepares for its next phase of development.
David brings leadership experience from both within and outside horticulture and has supported YPHA for several years in a mentoring and advisory capacity. His formal appointment recognises the role he has already played as a trusted sounding board for the association’s committee.
YPHA/MorePeople’s Sarah Want said his experience in business development, strategy and long-term planning would help strengthen decision-making as the organisation grows.
David said he was proud to support an organisation that has united more than 1,300 young professionals and championed the future of horticulture through education, innovation and community-building.
As part of wider changes, YPHA has begun moving member communications from Discord back to WhatsApp using the Communities feature, creating a single shared platform for discussion.
YPHA said the new structure will help members connect more naturally, reduce fragmentation and provide stronger foundations for the association’s long-term future.
