The Greenfingers Charity team is expanding
The Greenfingers Charity, which is dedicated to building therapeutic garden spaces within children’s hospices across the UK, is looking to expand its team with the appointment of a new part-time Garden Projects Manager.
This new role will see a dedicated, passionate and experienced individual help the Greenfingers Charity to realise its ambitious plans to create even more much-needed garden spaces at hospices throughout the country.
The Garden Projects Manager will have a pivotal role to play in the planning and development of each garden build, working in accordance with a statement of works for each garden, and will also act as a vital point of contact between the hospice, designer, landscaper and Greenfingers.
Experience in the technical delivery of landscape projects, working with masterplans and technical drawings, site inspections and working with independent contractors is essential, as is a qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape/Garden Design. The right applicant will also need to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, complete work to the highest standard and precise deadlines and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, including liaising with principal sponsors, stakeholders, the Greenfingers Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Garden Committee and all other members of the Greenfingers Charity team, including freelance contractors.
Whilst not essential, horticultural and plant knowledge, knowledge of Vectorworks 3D and Sketch-up, as well as being a registered Landscape Architect with the Landscape Institute, are all desirable skills that may help the right candidate stand out from the crowd.
Sally Jenkins, Director of Finance and Resources said: “The role of Garden Project Manager is an exciting one for both us as a charity but also for the person who joins our team. We have ambitious plans for the coming years and our new Garden Project Manager will be a pivotal part of this longevity and a vital conduit for the development of our gardens programme.”
