Society of Garden Designers announces new Vice Chairman
The Society of Garden Designers (SGD) has appointed Paul Hensey MSGD as its new Vice Chairman working alongside Philippa O'Brien MSGD who took on the role of Chair in 2014.
Paul is a Register Member of the Society and a long-standing-member of the SGD Council. He joined the Council in 2010 and became Head of Adjudications in the same year. He has worked tirelessly to improve and up-date the SGD adjudication system, most recently introducing the new staged process where pre-registered members can submit three projects for assessment individually rather than as a single entry, as was previously the case.
Paul is also a familiar face on the Society's monthly Garden Design Journal, for whom he has written over 75 articles covering best practice, materials, construction and the technological aspects of garden design.
Away from the Society he runs his own practice, Green Zone Design.
Paul Hensey said: "2016 will be a year when many ambitions for the Society are realised and I am both excited and privileged to be part of the talented team that is working towards these."
