Britain’s most successful Olympian, Sir Jason Kenny, has been confirmed as a headline speaker at the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) annual conference in January 2027.

The seven-time Olympic gold medallist will address delegates on performance, resilience and success during the event, which takes place at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon, from January 24 to 27, 2027.

GCA Chairman Ben Harrison said Sir Jason’s achievements and mindset make him an inspiring addition to the programme, with lessons that will resonate strongly with garden centre businesses.

Kenny enjoyed one of the most successful careers in British sporting history, winning seven Olympic gold medals and two silvers across four Olympic Games.

His achievements include double sprint gold at London 2012 and an historic clean sweep of sprint titles at Rio 2016, before securing a seventh gold medal at Tokyo.

Since retiring from competition in 2022, he has joined British Cycling as men’s podium sprint coach, helping develop future Olympic talent.

GCA CEO Peter Burks said Kenny’s journey from champion athlete to coach reflects values of adaptability, continuous improvement and excellence that align closely with the garden retail sector.

Tickets for the 2027 conference go on sale on June 22, 2026, with an early bird discount available for members booking before the end of July.

The GCA conference attracts hundreds of delegates each year, offering networking opportunities, industry insight and presentations from leading speakers.
