Richard Coles joins GCA Conference line-up

Broadcaster and former Communards star Reverend Richard Coles will headline the GCA Conference 2027, joining Sir Jason Kenny and Justin King. Tickets are now on sale with early bird discounts available.
The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced that broadcaster, author and former pop star Reverend Richard Coles will be one of the headline speakers at its annual conference in January 2027.
Richard will speak on Tuesday, January 26 at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon, bringing his insights on leadership, community and connection to delegates.
Tickets for the conference went on sale today (June 22) through the members' section of the GCA website, with a 10% early bird discount available until the end of July.
GCA Chairman Ben Harrison said Richard's ability to combine humour, honesty and thought-provoking perspectives would make him a highlight of the event.
Richard first rose to fame as one half of The Communards with Jimmy Somerville, before becoming a Church of England priest and building a successful broadcasting and writing career.
He has appeared on numerous television and radio programmes and is known for speaking on topics including mental health, ethics, diversity and community.
GCA CEO Peter Burks said Richard's unique mix of experiences and ability to connect with audiences would bring valuable perspectives to members.
Sir Jason Kenny and former Sainsbury's chief executive Justin King have already been announced as headline speakers for the conference.
The GCA represents more than 200 garden centres across the UK and its annual conference attracts hundreds of members each year.
