Notcutts appoints new Food & Beverage Director

Notcutts has announced the appointment of Martin Cave as its new Food and Beverage Director, reinforcing the group’s continued investment in its nationwide restaurant portfolio.

The move forms part of a wider enhancement of the company’s food and beverage operations, which also includes the creation of two new roles: a Systems Coordinator and a Health, Safety and Food Hygiene Coordinator.

Bringing extensive experience from across the hospitality sector, Cave has held senior positions at Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito, Grosvenor Casinos, and most recently served as Operations Director at Bella Italia. In his new role he will oversee all kitchen and restaurant operations across Notcutts’ estate, driving commercial growth, leading menu development, and championing high‑quality customer service in line with the company’s values as a long‑established, family‑owned business. Cave also joins the organisation’s Executive Board.

Speaking on his appointment, Cave said he was looking forward to working closely with restaurant teams nationwide, adding that supporting and developing motivated, high‑performing teams is central to delivering consistently excellent customer experiences.

His arrival follows the departure of Kevin Boyle, who has served as Notcutts’ F&B Director since 2017. Boyle is credited with overseeing major restaurant redevelopment programmes and strengthening the brand’s reputation for creative, high‑quality, seasonal menus.

Nick Burrows, CEO of Notcutts, paid tribute to Boyle’s “exceptional focus and passion” and welcomed Cave’s “energy, vision and hands‑on approach” as the group continues to elevate its food and beverage offering across its 18 restaurants.

Founded in 1897, Notcutts operates 19 garden centres across the England.
