Jack Whiteley launches industry consultancy

Jack Whiteley, founder of Glencrest Seatex Ltd and a respected figure within the garden furniture sector, has announced his retirement as CEO after more than four decades in the industry.

Having established Glencrest Seatex in 1978, Whiteley built extensive experience in product sourcing, manufacturing partnerships, logistics and retail development, particularly through longstanding relationships with factories across the Far East. Most recently associated with Katie Blake, he remains well known throughout the industry for his knowledge of garden furniture production and supply chains.

Following his retirement, Whiteley is now offering consultancy services to businesses seeking support with sourcing strategies, factory selection, shipping logistics and product development. Drawing on decades of practical experience, he aims to help companies avoid costly purchasing mistakes and improve operational efficiency.

Whiteley has also witnessed significant changes within the garden centre sector, including consolidation among independent retailers and the continued growth of online retailing, both of which have reshaped customer buying habits and market expectations.

Businesses interested in consultancy support or an initial discussion can contact Jack Whiteley directly on 07973 837219 or via email at jack@katieblake.co.uk
