Gardman announces further senior appointment

Company: Gardman

The Gardman Group, one of the UK’s leading gardening sundries and wild bird care companies, has announced that Duncan Ross has been promoted to the role of Director of Garden Centre Sales. The announcement follows the retirement of Sue Sharp from the role earlier this year.

Duncan, who has been with Gardman since 2007, was most recently National Sales Manager for Garden Centre Independents and previously held national account manager roles.  As Director of Garden Centre Sales he will focus on the development of Gardman’s independent customers as well as supporting the experienced sales agent team. Duncan will report to recently appointment Bernard Shannon, Sales Director.

Bernard said: "It’s vital that our internal management structures are designed to support our ambitious business plans, and having a senior director dedicated to the needs of our independent garden centre customers illustrates how important this segment is to us and our future plans.  I am really looking forward to working closely with Duncan and I am confident that his many years of industry experience will stand him in good stead."
