Deco-Pak manager raises £1,000 for late mother’s hospice

The staff of Hipperholme based decorative aggregates and bird box suppliers, Deco-Pak, joined over 1,600 runners in a 5k colour run to raise money for Overgate Hospice in Elland.
The event took place on the 9th July in Saville Park, Halifax, for which the Deco-Pak team were required to run 5k whilst being pelted with multi-coloured powder by supporters.
For Deco-Pak’s Finance Manager, Rachel Smith, the fundraiser had a particularly emotional significance. “My mother spent time at Overgate Hospice before she passed away, so I was thinking of her at every step of the way. The level of care she received at Overgate was just incredible and I am really happy that we can further support their work with our team donation.”
