Daredevil Denise skydives for Princess Alice Hospice

Company: Squire’s Garden Centre

Denise July, an employee at Squire’s Garden Centre in Long Ditton, bravely jumped out of a plane last Saturday 21st April to raise money for Squire’s chosen charity Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.

Denise said of the skydive, “I am actually terrified of heights so this was quite a challenge! I was 2 miles up in the sky and travelling at 125 mph! It was brilliant, an indescribable fabulous feeling, but I was very pleased when the parachute opened and I got back to terra firma. My motivation for doing the tandem skydive was my only son Harry, who was so well cared for at Princess Alice Hospice at the end of his life, aged just 23. The hospice made Harry feel safe and nurtured, and he asked that we should give back to Princess Alice Hospice through charitable donations. So thank you to everyone who has supported me and made a donation to this very worthy charity.”

Her skydive has raised over £4,000 for Princess Alice Hospice so far, but you could help increase this amount by donating at Squire’s in Long Ditton, or via Denise’s Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/squires-princess-alice-skydive-denise-july
