Chris Jessons raises over £1.3k for the Greenfingers Charity

Company: Greenfingers

Chris personally posted or hand delivered each of the auctioned items to their new homes, going above and beyond to ensure the success of his fundraising initiative. The culmination of this effort saw Chris hand over the funds to Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, during the annual Garden Media Guild Awards held on 22nd November at The Savoy in London.

Talking during the cheque presentation, Chris said: “"Greenfingers Charity holds a very special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled that the plants from my garden could contribute to such an amazing cause. It’s been a privilege to be part of this journey, and I’m already looking forward to my next challenge – completing the Guernsey Walk in support of Garden Re-Leaf Day. The work Greenfingers does is truly life-affirming, and I’m honoured to play a part in helping to make a difference."

Linda Petrons praised Chris’ efforts by added: “Chris' creativity, passion, and generosity never cease to amaze us. His plant auction is a testament to the incredible impact one person can have when they put their heart into supporting a cause. We are deeply grateful for Chris’ ongoing efforts and look forward to cheering him on as he takes on his next challenge in 2025. With ambassadors like Chris, we can continue to bring smiles and solace to children and their families through the power of gardens."

Chris’ next adventure in support of the charity will take place on 21st March 2025, as he is poised to cross the line of the stunning 40-mile Guernsey Walk. This challenge will see Chris take in the picturesque island of Guernsey as he racks up the miles over a series of walks in aid of Greenfingers.
