Boyd on board for Greenfingers

Boyd Douglas-Davies, CEO of Hillview Garden Centres Ltd, has long been closely involved with Greenfingers, not least since he founded Garden Re-Leaf Day four years ago, which raises significant funds for the charity each year.  Boyd’s long-term support of Greenfingers has now been cemented with his new role as a trustee and Greenfingers chairman Matthew Wilson welcomed Boyd on board at the trustees meeting on Wednesday.

Matthew Wilson said: ‘It is an absolute honour to have Boyd join us as a trustee of Greenfingers and I’m delighted to welcome him on board today.  As someone who has long been a staunch supporter of the work we do he is already a fantastic advocate of our charity and I look forward to his input and involvement in our future work.’

Boyd Douglas-Davies added: ‘Ever before I founded Garden Re-Leaf Day I was closely involved in Greenfingers and am very happy to accept the role of trustee.  I am delighted to be working very closely with the team to develop Garden Re-Leaf Day for 2015 and beyond, and further support the work we do to create magical gardens for children and families who spend time in hospices to enjoy.’
 
Greenfingers has been the benefitting charity of the annual Garden Re-Leaf Day since it’s inception and Douglas-Davies’s appointment as a trustee also marks officially confirming Garden Re-Leaf Day as Greenfingers’ main spring fundraising campaign.
