Voting opens for GCA Associate Member of the Year 2025

Company: GCA

The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has officially opened voting for its Associate Member of the Year 2025, inviting member garden centres across the UK to nominate the suppliers and partners they feel have made the most significant impact over the past year. The winner will be honoured at the GCA’s prestigious 60th Anniversary Annual Conference, taking place at Carden Park, Chester, from January 25–28, 2026.

The award recognises companies and individuals who have gone above and beyond to support the success of the garden retail sector — whether through exceptional service, innovative new products, or effective marketing initiatives. As GCA CEO Peter Burks explains, the accolade is “a way of recognising the significant contribution to the success of garden centre businesses that Associate Members make,” adding that the award remains “highly regarded and valued” across the industry.

There are no fixed criteria for nominations; members are simply asked to vote for the supplier that has best supported their business. The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, December 31, 2025, with votes to be emailed to info@gca.org.uk. The winner will receive the Haskins Stewarts Cup during the GCA’s celebratory conference in January.

The GCA’s Annual Conference is a highlight of the horticultural calendar, combining learning, networking, and celebration. Full event details and booking information can be found on the GCA website at gca.digitickets.co.uk, with a dedicated email, conference@gca.org.uk, available for any queries.

Peter also encouraged more suppliers to get involved with the association: “Many garden centre suppliers don’t realise that they can join us. We welcome applications from any supplier offering products or services relevant to our members. It’s a great opportunity to connect with more than 200 of the UK’s leading garden centres.”
