HTA Grower of the Year Awards 2025 receive record number of entries

Company: HTA

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has announced a record-breaking number of entries for the 2025 Grower of the Year Awards, which celebrate excellence in UK nursery production. Winners will be revealed at the awards dinner following Horticulture, The Conference on 25 September at the Barbican Centre in London.

The awards honour both individuals and businesses that demonstrate exceptional quality, innovation, service, and sustainability. Winners will also be eligible for entry into the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards, raising their profile on the global stage.

HTA President and judge Will Armitage praised the breadth and quality of this year’s submissions, noting the number of new names and high standards across the board. He emphasised that even being shortlisted is a significant achievement.

A highlight for 2025 is a new £1,500 bursary introduced for the Young Grower of the Year, which has attracted a record number of entries. The bursary aims to support early-career professionals under 35 working in ornamental plant production.

Last year’s winner, Henil Vashi from Robin Tacchi Plants, reflected on the impact of the award, saying it had opened unexpected opportunities and brought recognition to his entire team.

More details on the awards and how to attend the conference or dinner ceremony can be found at hta.org.uk/goty.
