Wyevale launches resilient native tree range
Wyevale Nurseries has launched its new Original Select range, featuring UK-grown native trees selected to help landscapers, local authorities and gardeners establish more resilient landscapes.
Developed following extensive trials, the collection has been curated to improve establishment, uniformity and long-term performance while retaining the ecological benefits of native species.
The range has been selected to cope with modern environmental pressures, including drought, compacted soils, fluctuating moisture levels and higher urban temperatures, while supporting biodiversity, carbon capture and urban cooling.
Original Select includes improved forms of Silver Birch, Hawthorn, Bird Cherry, English Oak and Small-leaved Lime, all propagated and grown in the UK to enhance plant health security and reduce reliance on imports.
John Lawrence, Amenity Sales Manager at Wyevale Nurseries, said the aim was to provide dependable native trees suited to streetscapes, housing developments and public spaces without compromising their environmental value.
The family-run nursery continues to invest in sustainable production, including peat-free growing media, water-efficient irrigation and integrated pest management, supporting more resilient landscapes for the future.
