HRH to visit Wyevale Nurseries

Wyevale Nurseries has announced that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester will visit its Hereford site on 13 July, where she is expected to tour the nursery and meet members of the team.

During the visit, The Duchess will be shown key areas of the business, including growing operations and environmental initiatives, with a focus on sustainable land use and biodiversity.

Based at Kings Acre, Wyevale Nurseries is a long-established wholesale grower supplying trees, shrubs and plants to landscapers, local authorities and garden centres across the UK. The company, which is approaching its 96th year in business, operates across 800 acres and produces much of its stock in-house.

The business highlighted its environmental credentials, including ISO 14001 accreditation and measures to reduce carbon emissions, water use and production waste.

Andy Johnson, Managing Director of Wyevale Nurseries, adds: “We are incredibly proud that Her Royal Highness is coming to Wyevale Nurseries. It’s a fantastic opportunity to highlight the vital role horticulture plays in shaping sustainable, resilient landscapes.

"Our team is passionate about what we do and we look forward to sharing our work and ambitions for the future during the visit.”
