Garden centres to close as a mark of respect
Many Garden centres are to close as a mark of respect on Monday 19th September, the day of the funeral for the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd.
The RHS has announced it will close its five gardens on the day of the funeral, which includes its site in Wisley near Woking.
Blue Diamond said, "Following the recent announcement of the state funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on Monday the 19th of September, as a mark of respect we have taken the decision to close all of our garden centres and restaurants on that day.”
Coolings has published its intentions on Facebook. “As a mark of respect for the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II, we will be closing all our centres on Monday 19th September.”
Dobbies have said, “As the country comes together to pay tribute and remember Queen Elizabeth II, our thoughts remain with the Royal Family. As a mark of respect, our stores will be closed on Monday 19th September.”
Other garden centres closing for the Queen's funeral
Other garden centres that have announced that they will be closing include Planters, Ruxley Manor, Tapp’s, Stratford, Falmouth, Brookside, Moulton Nurseries and Garden Centre and Smith’s Nurseries and Garden Centre.
