Clearance of stock from Lowaters Nursery

Lowaters Nursery has stopped trading.  Stock from the grower at Hook Lane, Warsash, Southampton is being sold off at significant discounts on a first come first served basis. 

An announcement was made to staff 3 weeks ago.  Calls to the company are met with an answering machine. Gardenforum has been unable to raise a response. 

Proudly Associates in Ringwood is auctioning off a stock of nursery plants from Lowaters Nursery.  The following has been published on their website.

NURSERY PLANTS Project Vita, Southampton

On behalf of the Directors, following the closure of the business, we have for sale a substantial quantity of wholesale nursery plants, comprising the following:

  • Approximately 82,000 Finished Stock Items and 88,000 Liners
  • Less than 6 months old – 50% Off Wholesale Price
  • 6 to 12 months old – 60% Off Wholesale Price
  • Older than 12 months – 70% Off Wholesale Price

The stock has been broken down into lots and is being sold on that basis. There is the opportunity to purchase multiple lots but they cannot be broken down any further.

The stock is being sold on a first-come-first-served basis and the purchaser must load and collect the stock at their own expense from the site in Southampton…

The sale particulars say, “Buyers will be responsible for providing their own transport and loading the stock themselves. Trollies can be loaned from Lowaters but must be returned.”
