The Greenfingers Charity Dragon Boat Race – great for teams and individuals

Company: Greenfingers

On Sunday 23rd June, the great and good from the garden retail sector will descend upon Grendon Lakes in Northamptonshire to find out who has the skills to be crowned the 2024 Greenfingers Dragon Boat Race winners. Open to everyone from teams to individuals, this is event will be one to remember!

With up to 14 teams able to take part, there is still space to get involved this June. Whilst teams from British Garden Centres, Westland, Evergreen Garden Care, Woodlodge, the YPHA and the AMES Companies are gearing up to take part, the team at Greenfingers are keen to highlight that smaller teams or even individuals are able to join in the fun as mixed teams are possible, with everyone getting a chance to show off their rowing prowess.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, said: “The response to the Dragon Boat Race has been good so far but we still have boats to fill and are urging interested parties to book their place now! Don’t be shy if you haven’t got a full team, or just want to come along on your own, mixed teams are absolutely possible and from my experience, are sometimes the most fun to be on!

“Also, with this being a weekend event we also urge participants to bring along their own cheerleaders in the shape of friends, family and colleagues. Grendon Lakes is a super venue, with plenty to keep big and little people highly entertained, though the races themselves will certainly be the highlight of the day!”
