Greenfingers seeks sponsors for Kilimanjaro Charity Challenge

Company: Greenfingers

Greenfingers Charity has issued a rallying call for sponsors as preparations build for its ambitious Kilimanjaro Challenge 2026. With a 20-strong team preparing to tackle Africa’s highest mountain, the charity is seeking partners to help supply essential expedition kit while raising vital funds for its work creating hospice gardens for life-limited children.

Early support from within the industry has already set the tone for an inspiring campaign. Harvey Spack Field has stepped forward to sponsor the team’s eye-catching neon pink t-shirts, already seen at the GIMA Awards and at the recent Acorn’s Hospice garden opening. The Boyd Partnership has also joined the effort, ensuring climbers stay warm with sponsored beanie hats.

A significant boost has come from Mountain Warehouse, the leading outdoor retailer, which has committed to providing the team’s expedition coats alongside a generous discount on the remainder of their technical kit. This backing ensures that every participant will be well equipped for the harsh and changeable conditions on Kilimanjaro’s upper slopes.

Greenfingers is now seeking additional sponsors to complete the team’s kit list, including jackets, fleeces, t-shirts and waterproof rucksack covers—items essential for the team’s safety and comfort during the ascent. Sponsorship packages start at just £500, making the opportunity accessible to a wide range of businesses looking to support a good cause.

Each sponsored item will proudly display the partner’s logo, offering visibility throughout the team’s training, travel and the climb itself. In addition to brand exposure, sponsors will be aligning themselves with meaningful themes of children’s wellbeing, outdoor therapy and sustainability, while becoming part of an uplifting story that will resonate across the industry and beyond.

The Greenfingers climbing team—featuring prominent names from the garden retail and horticultural sectors, including Johan Huibers, Richard Quarmby and Thomas Forsyth—will set off for their Mount Kilimanjaro adventure from 10–21 June 2026. Businesses interested in supporting the challenge or discussing sponsorship options are encouraged to contact linda@greenfingerscharity.org.uk.
