Green-fingered Vitax team plant trees for community
Vitax, leading garden care specialists based in Coalville, Leicestershire, demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through a tree planting event in the National Forest, as part of its latest community partnership.
The event saw the team plant 300 trees across two new groves at 15-hectares Peggs Pear Wood, in the National Forest, contributing to the long-term health of a landscape that sits firmly on the company’s doorstep.
For a business whose products help nurture gardens across the UK, the initiative forms a natural extension of its values, and a meaningful way to give something back to the local community.

Peggs Pear Wood was acquired by the National Forest Company in 2023 to increase the environmental benefits associated with tree planting and new woodlands, as well as contributing towards the target of a third forest cover within the National Forest boundary by 2045.
