GCA names North region award winners

The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced the winners of its 2026 North region summer awards following an Area Awards meeting at RHS Bridgewater.

Bents Garden & Home was named Destination Garden Centre of the Year, Fron Goch Garden Centre won the Garden Centre category, and Klondyke Garden Centre, Howdens took the Local Garden Centre title.

GCA Chief Executive Peter Burks congratulated the winners and thanked RHS Bridgewater for hosting the event, as well as inspectors Phil McCann and Mark Pitman for sharing their insights.

The awards followed a 12-week programme of unannounced inspections, with centres assessed across key areas including customer service, merchandising and retail standards.

The inspectors praised the consistently high standards across the North region and highlighted members' commitment to continuous improvement and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
