Calling all cheerleaders, sponsors & raffle prizes
This Sunday (23rd June) six teams from across the garden retail sector will be battling it out to be named the 2024 Greenfingers Dragon Boat champions. But they need your help – calling all cheerleaders, sponsors and raffle prize givers!
Rowing for the title will be teams from Westland, Evergreen, GIMA alongside the YPHA, the AMES Companies, Woodlodge and British Garden Centres, with friends and family set to cheer them on from the sidelines. However, with no limit on those that can offer words of encouragement, the Greenfingers Charity is reminding people that a great day out is on offer for those that wish to attend. Bring the family, bring the dog and don’t forget the picnic!
Sponsorship opportunities
As with any Greenfingers Charity fundraising event there are also several sponsorship opportunities, perfect for those that wish to support the event from afar. From sponsoring the on the day photographs to refreshments, sponsors can ensure that the day goes without a hitch whilst also placing their brand front and centre. Not to mention their amazing contribution to the charity’s fundraising total.
Raffle prizes needed!
Once the 2024 Dragon Boat champions have been crowned there will be plenty of time for the rowers and spectators to kick back and relax, with a raffle enabling many to go home with some top prizes. Always a proven fundraiser the Greenfingers team has issued a rallying call for anyone willing to donate prizes for this special raffle. Prizes can include everything from products to services and experiences.
Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, said: “We’re consistently impressed by the way our supporters get involved, whether in-person or from afar. The 2024 Dragon Boat Race will be no different, and we sincerely hope that people, teams and businesses will be able to boost the excitement on the day. Whether they’re coming to cheer on the rowers, sponsoring the event or providing something for the raffle, their input will be so gratefully received by us at Greenfingers and by those that spend time in one of our garden spaces.”
