Jamie Oliver backs Eden Project Garden

Company: Eden Project Bring Me Sunshine Garden

Jamie Oliver visited the Eden Project Bring Me Sunshine Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 this morning, lending his support to the garden’s bid for the BBC/RHS People’s Choice Award.

Created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Eden Project, the garden offers visitors a first glimpse of Eden Project Morecambe, which is due to open in 2028.

Designed by Harry Holding and Alex Michaelis and co-created with young adults from Morecambe, the garden draws inspiration from the coastal landscapes and communities of Morecambe Bay.

The design combines immersive coastal planting, edible species and sustainable materials, centred around a dramatic shell-shaped outdoor learning structure.

During his visit, Jamie praised the garden’s design, edible planting and its focus on creating opportunities for young people through food growing, creativity and outdoor learning.

He highlighted the importance of involving young people in design and nature-based projects, while encouraging visitors to support the garden in the public vote for the RHS/BBC People’s Choice Award.

Andy Jasper said inspiring the next generation through green careers, food growing, technology and community engagement sits at the heart of Eden Project Morecambe.

Following the show, the garden will relocate permanently to Morecambe, where it will form part of a free public community garden and outdoor learning space ahead of the full Eden Project Morecambe opening in 2028.

The garden has been supported through match-funding from Project Giving Back.
