Global demand grows for IGCA 2026
Strong global interest is building for the International Garden Centre Congress (IGCA) 2026, with registrations already reaching around 80% capacity.
More than 200 participants from 15 countries have signed up months ahead of the event, which will take place from 16–22 August 2026 in Munich, Germany.
The congress is hosted by the German Garden Centre Association (VDG) and reflects growing demand for international dialogue, strategic exchange and cross-border collaboration within the independent garden centre sector.
Martina Mensing-Meckelburg, President of the German Garden Centre Association, said the early international response highlights the value independent garden centre entrepreneurs place on direct engagement, practical insights and peer-to-peer exchange.
The programme will include curated store visits in and around Munich, structured business exchange sessions and international networking opportunities among garden centre operators from across the world.
An exclusive Pre-Tour will also be available, starting in Frankfurt and concluding at the official opening in Munich. The tour will offer additional store visits, market insights and early networking in a small-group setting.
Places on the Pre-Tour are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration for IGCA 2026 remains open, with industry professionals encouraged to secure their place in the coming weeks to take advantage of the global networking and learning opportunities on offer.
