An opportunity has arisen at Stewarts Christchurch to join our Outdoor Plants team on a full time basis, assisting the Buyer/Manager in the running of the outdoor plants department.
Horticultural knowledge is important and experience in a retail environment on a supervisory level is essential. Candidates will have a hands on approach but the role will also include the need for computer knowledge due to internal systems used for orders and stock. Good communication and team working skills are required as is the desire to deliver a high level of customer service. Please note that some heavy lifting will be involved as this is a physically demanding environment. A forklift license is ideal but not essential.
The position involves working an average of 39 hours per week - Mondays to Fridays and alternate weekends (non-negotiable) with a fixed day off during the week
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays
