Mims Pottery and Errington Reay are amongst the UK’s leading brands of outdoor pots and planters. The company has been trading from its Glasgow headquarters for over 30 years and enjoys a prominent position within the UK garden centre wholesale industry.
The company has achieved considerable growth in recent times and now wishes to strengthen its sales team with the recruitment of an experienced and highly motivated Area Sales Manager.
AREA
We are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover our existing North West territory. This area covers Blackburn, Chester, Crewe, Isle of Man, Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Stockport, Warrington, and Wigan.
Salary: Starting salary up to £27,000 based on experience. OTE: £ 35,000 uncapped
Package: Company vehicle, Fuel Card, UK Breakdown cover, Mobile Phone. Employee Perk Package and Bonus scheme. Access to company pension scheme after 12 months of service and full product training will be provided.
Area Sales Manager Role:
- Building upon strong partnerships with existing customers.
- To win new business from prospecting as well as from qualified warm enquiries
- Working with the merchandising team and head office to ensure that the customer experience is always exceptional.
- Planning and working to an effective journey plan, maximising customer contact.
- Regular accurate reporting
- Attending stakeholder meetings
The person:
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious sales professional to join our growing and highly successful sales team. Utilising your existing skills in account management and new business acquisition, you will manage a large existing customer base on a day-to-day basis as well as having the hunter mentality to help you to bring in new customer accounts.
A smart appearance, professional attitude and good timekeeping skills are essential and an existing industry address book within the North West area would be advantageous.
A full clean driving licence is required and applicants should be willing to travel extensively and be adaptable to longer working hours during our peak trading times.
This is a full time permanent position with an immediate start available.
