It comes at the end of the summer and is the last in the year of the major RHS shows, creating a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere.

Family friendly

Families and communities are at the heart of the Cheshire event, meaning it is a show not just for plant lovers but for youngsters and friends too.

Innovative gardens at the show provide a wealth of inspiration for any outdoor space, no matter its size.

A potted history

The RHS Flower Show Tatton Park was first held in 1999 and has since welcomed thousands of visitors through the gates.

Over the years the RHS has introduced different garden categories and features such as the RHS National Young Designer Competition in 2009, a themed category that changes annually which has included Orchestra Gardens and Galaxy Gardens, the RHS National Flower Bed Competition, the Summer Fruit & Veg Competition marquee and a Ladies’ Day in 2011.

Renowned for its friendly atmosphere, many of the original features of the show, such as the Show Gardens and Floral Marquee still remain today.

These additions have made Tatton Park a show that relishes fresh ideas and innovation. Community organisations have also played a large part in the show’s identity with charities, schools, local authorities and prisons being involved every year.
